The one and only liquid of life

I have recently read a great piece of writing by Aaron Robb which explains the basics of water flow in the human body. It immediately caught my eye as I pay great attention to the quality of what I consume. Since I regularly do sports I need an even deeper understanding of the science which stands behind water distribution in my body.

As you may already know, we consist in 72% of water. This makes us vulnerable to disorders associated with water loss. Our fragile nature is best illustrated by the fact that although we can survive without food for 3 weeks, we simply perish after just 3 days through lack of water. So, whether you lead an active lifestyle or not, there is no way you can undermine the significant role that water plays in your life.

Most of us are constantly and chronically dehydrated. It happens when you work, study, exercise or simply slacking off. Do you feel thirsty

Make learning English your new favorite habit

For those of us who have had little or no chance to live and work in an English-speaking country, learning this language can turn out to be a real challenge. English is the official language of the United Nations, the EU, the British Commonwealth and the International Olympic Committee as well as of the territories of the former British Empire. Ever since the Internet became a global phenomenon, speaking two or more languages is pretty much a standard and English is no longer treated as a foreign language.

You may be lucky enough to have been born in a developed country and in your school days been taught maths, physics and humanistic subjects in more than one language. That sort of education can provide You with a better life due to your greater value on the job market and easy access to valuable sources of information on the Internet. There’s a new kid on the block

I’ve never blogged before. I’ve never composed or published a single piece of writing. And it’s been a while since I first promised myself to start a blog, even the simplest one. Recently I stumbled across Svbtle and finally decided to start writing.

There was a time in my life when I was completely absorbed by the vast range of possibilities offered by this new invention, the Internet. Staying up all night and drinking coffee like a madman in my teenage years or failing most subjects at school - you name it. Although I’d created a substantial bunch of interactive solutions I still envied those who could remain persistent when developing valuable content. This state of mind led me to several attempts to create a place where I could keep my notes. However, creating Wordpress themes over and over again and improving all conceivable factors instead of simply writing down some posts

Married with New Year’s resolutions

It’s not the first time in my life I’ve made New Year’s resolutions, but I’ve never kept them so far. This Year I’ve read many articles giving practical and worthwhile pieces of advice, which inspired me to conclude my last year goals.

It was odd to realize that although nothing unusual was against me, I ended up not having finished most of them:

  • Buy a new car (failed - I should learn better how to save for my pension)

  • Pass the CAE exam (nope, didn’t even try)

  • Rent a new flat which would be spacious, cozy and placed nearer to the city Centre (I didn’t make it, but this time purposely)

But there were also heartening ones:

  • Maintain a happy relationship with my girlfriend and spend more time with her (Got it! She finally moved into my place)

  • Change job (It’s always stressful but surprisingly this time it turned out to be a pretty pleasant experience)

Even considering small
